JOB OFFER IN THE PROJECT OPUS 17 FOR PHD STUDENT

24.08.2020
We are looking for a highly motived PhD student to carry out a research project under the supervision of Dr Sergio E Moya at the NanoBioMedical Center, the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, the project is implemented under the program OPUS 17 National Science Centre Poland.

The aim of the project is to study the biological fate of soft nanomaterials, mainly designed for biomedical applications and the impact of bio corona formation in nanomaterial translocation. The PhD student will work on the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of nanomaterials, and perform cell culture studies to investigate their intracellular fate. The successful applicant will be part of a very international and multidisciplinary team and will receive training at the interface of biological and materials science. He/she will have access to state-of-the-art facilities for the characterization of nanomaterials (including atomic force microscopy, cryo-transmission electron microscopy, high field NMR), and for imaging at the cell level (confocal microscopy, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, lifetime imaging, and Raman microscopy). A Master degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Bio-Physics, Biology, Physics or Materials Science is required as well as a good command in English, oral and written. Expertise in fluorescence techniques, confocal microscopy, self-assembly or cell culture will be beneficial.
