About the Centre
The NanoBioMedical Centre – Overview and Mission
The primary mission of the NanoBioMedical Centre (CNBM) is to conduct scientific and educational activities in the interdisciplinary fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology, at both doctoral and master's levels. CNBM's interdisciplinary approach integrates physical, chemical, biological, medical sciences, and materials engineering within the framework of nanotechnology.
The research at CNBM focuses on the production and comprehensive characterization of nanomaterials and exploring their application potential in areas such as diagnostics, tissue engineering, targeted therapy, energy conversion and storage, catalysis, sensors, and nanoelectronics.
Infrastructure and Funding
The infrastructure of CNBM, including its building, laboratories, and equipment, was funded through the key project under Measure 13.1 Higher Education Infrastructure of Priority XIII of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment, titled "Inter-University NanoBioMedical Centre."
