The NanoBioMedical Centre will be responsible for the development of novel repellants and protective coatings, which depending on the nanostructures used for their preparation, and on the exterior conditions on which the discussed objects will be exposed to, will allow for the proper modification of their surface in order to change its hydrophobicity, mechanical properties, inflammability, or susceptibility to UV degradation or pathogens. Such repellants and coatings will be characterized in terms of new properties. Additionaly, imaging of the wooden objects by means of nuclear magnetic resonace technique will be conducted.
