The first day of the conference was devoted to the 1st Symposium on Polydopamine, which was the first international forum gathering leading scientists and experts within the field, i.a. Prof. Haeshin Lee (KAIST, South Korea), Prof. Prof. Vincent Ball (University of Strasbourg, France), Prof. Juergen Liebscher (Humboldt-University Berlin, Germany) or Prof. Daniel Ruiz-Molina (Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Spain). The NanoBioMedical Centre was represented by Dr. Radosław Mrówczyński.
On the following conference days, lectures were focused on the nanomaterials and nanotechnology, and were included in two parallel thematic sections: section A – Advanced nanomaterials and section B - Nanobiomedicine.
Plenary lectures of the conference:
Prof. Andrea C. Ferrari, Cambridge Graphene Centre, Engineering Department, University of Cambridge, UK
Graphene for photonics and optoelectronics
Prof. Jørgen Kjems, Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) and Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark
Self-assembled nucleic acid-protein-lipid devices for biosensing, bioimaging and delivery of biologics
Prof. Silvia Marchesan, University of Trieste, Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Italy
Nanostructures wonderland beyond the mirror
Prof. Mario Rocca, Institute of Materials for Electronics and Magnetism (IMEM-CNR) and University of Genova, Department of Physics, Italy
Growth of nearly perfect MgO films on Ag(100) and spontaneous oxidation of Ni cluster grown thereon
Prof. Richard Spontak, Departments of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA
Functionalized Thermoplastic Elastomers: A Route to Designer Soft NanoMaterials
Moreover, the conference programme included 32 invited lectures, 14 contributed lectures and 102 poster presentations. The full list of the conference speakers and topics can be found on the conference website:

As part of the conference, the Young Researchers Forum was also held, during which 24 young scientists presented their recent scientific accomplishments in a short oral presentation. The best oral presentation prize was awarded to Ms. Kaja Spilarewicz-Stanek (University of Lodz) and Mr. Krzysztof Żukowski (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań). Congratulation to the winners!
We cordially invite you to attend the next edition of the internatiponal conference NanoTech Poland on 5 – 7 June 2019!
