Interdisciplinary PhD studies in nanoscience and nanotechnology

Supervisory institution:
National Research and Development Center
The research programme of this project is realised by 10 PhD students and their mentors and addresses the following topics:
  • The functional properties of the eye lens: species and ageing variations
  • Spin Hall Effect
  • SNP frequency analysis in proto-oncogenes, suppressor genes, and cell cycle -regulated genes among Polish patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) and Polish population by high-throughput sequencing.
  • Electron paramagnetic resonance investigation of the effect of UV/Vis light on calcium carbonate
  • Electron orderings and their separations in the extended Hubbard models
  • Mesoporous silica materials as drug delivery systems for 1,4 – dihydropyridine derivatives
  • Investigation of hydrogel and silicone-hydrogel contact lens materials in view of Discreet Theory of water states in polymers
  • Monte Carlo simulations of multiferroics
  • The properties of nanophases adsorbed in the micro- and mesoporous silica matrices
  • Structure and dynamic of thermoresponsive microgel particles investigated by scattering and fluorescence methods
